While all presidential administrations change cabinet members, this one has stacked the cupboard full of people with absolutely no experience in their assigned position. Take Kristi Noem..please take her! Her botoxed self is playing dress up and asking for a new jet for her personal use so that she can take advantage of more photo ops/ Maybe her boss will give her one of the "old" Air Force One planes to save our taxpayer money. Her department is out of money for the fiscal year. One of her photo ops in El Salvador showed her with a 50K Rolex on her arm while dressed up as an ICE agent. There is a special place for people like that. And it probably ain't heaven. I could be wrong though. I ain't the judge of anybody.
What bothers me the most about today's political climate is the refusal of folks to listen to another opinion other than what they believe. As for me, I enjoy an intelligent conversation about current events. Everybody has their own fact checking system and I often read and listen to views that do not align with my own just to learn. I dare say that not ONE of my trolls has ever had that kind of dialogue with someone who thinks differently. For many it's all about the money and how it will affect them. So far, I haven't seen much of anything other than an increase in the national debt of 4 trillion. The EU, Canada and Greenland hate us. As Belle would say "Markets hate uncertainty." Every day is a roller coaster on Wall Street.
So, if you got to attend the meme coin dinner, I hope you enjoyed the shitty food and water. This little reality show, the first of many, was designed to enrich the $TRUMP business run by his sons. Somebody has to pay for that new Trump baby to get raised up. I actually don't blame his kids for riding the money train. I honestly do not believe that they realize the scope of what is happening. Until it happens to them.
As we all know Memorial Day is about more than a three days weekend to usher in swimming season. It is a day set aside to honor those who gave their lives defending this country. As a teenager, I purchased a POW bracelet with the name James Headrick on it. I still have it to this day and he was never found. A devoted pilot in the midst of a nasty war who was serving his country the best way he knew how was shot down by the enemy. These vets and the ones who followed have always had my heart.
The beagle babies are back at their home six miles north thanks to some careful sleuthing by people who keep up with pets and their owners. Both shelters are full and while we were ready to foster them for a bit, it was good to not have that howling...lol. Rosie went MIA for a day but is now asleep in the sock drawer. All is well ^j^
